Il Faggio is synonymous with Abruzzo, on Italy's central east coast. The wine is made for Liberty Wines by renowned New Zealander Matt Thomson, crafted in one of the best co-operatives in the northern part of the area. The name derives from the beech trees that populate the region, and you will see an example of these fabulous trees depicted on the label. The aim is to capture the power of the Montepulciano grape variety, and transfer this to your glass with intensity and freshness. They represent terrific value for money.
