La Croix wines are made by Les Vignobles Foncalieu which were founded in 1967. They are based in the Languedoc and are one of the most dynamic cooperatives in Southern France. They work with over 1,600 growers to source grapes from over 7, 500 hectares of vineyards spread throughout the region which has some of the oldest vineyards in France, stretching from the Corbières massif to the shores of the Mediterranean, and the hillsides and plains between Carcassonne and Bézieres, on a mosaic of soils. The Mediterranean climate is perfect for the cultivation of the myriad grape varieties for which the region is famous. The Foncalieu team of agronomists and oenologists work closely with the wine-growers to unveil the potential of each vineyard and showcase the tremendous diversity of the Languedoc. They are committed to the environment and farm sustainably. La Croix focus on bright fruit-driven easy-drinking wines made from the native grape varieties of the area, and offer tremendous value for money. La Croix, or “The Cross” symbolises the Cross of the Languedoc, and embodies all the wine-growing spirit that this historic region has to offer.
