DOC Venezie is located in the Veneto wine region in the northeast corner of Italy. Many of the vineyards are relatively flat and fertile, so vineyard management is required to manage the yields in order to concentrate the flavours. The vines are planted with a sunny orientation and gentle coastal breezes from the Adriatic Sea help to keep the vines dry and healthy. The Alps help to protect the vineyards from cold, northerly winds.
Warm days and cool nights offer the perfect combination to allow slow maturation of the grapes, maintaining beautiful balance between natural acidity and sugar levels.
The vines are on average 10 years old and are trained according to the Guyot method. They are grown in volcanic soils, which are known for imparting fresh and mineral qualities to the resulting wines.
