Wine tasting notes
This wine has a beautiful cherry colour and is surprising on the palate with good suppleness. The vineyard borders the famous vineyard of Pommard, so this wine has strong fruity characteristics.
Winery information

From the tip of Chablis to the toe of Beaujolais, from regional, village, 1er Cru and Grand Cru wines Louis Jadot produces Burgundy and nothing but Burgundy. The familiar Bacchus head label has become the reliable stamp of quality and consistency from what can often be a confusing region.
Louis Henri Denis Jadot founded the business in 1859. His vision was to build a business with a high quality reputation. One of his key aims, as well as to make top wines, was to build a significant vineyard base. This vision remains core to the business today.
Today, the business is headed up by Pierre-Henry Gagey, son of André Gagey, who was entrusted with the management of Louis Jadot in 1962 by Madame Jadot following the tragic death of her son, Louis Auguste Jadot. Pierre-Henry is a passionate believer in terroir, allowing the wines to present the very essence of Burgundy.

The 2010 Beaune 1er Cru Les Boucherottes has a warm, open, generous nose with hints of warm bricks infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is smooth and silky on the entry. It is a fleshier than I expected with a well-defined finish: an approachable Beaune, but one that will age well over the next decade. Drink now-2018.
Good full red. Sappy aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, mocha and menthol, complicated by sexy earth notes. Suave and fine-grained, with enticing inner-mouth perfume to the redcurrant, cherry and stone flavors. Finishes with fine, sweet tannins, solid structure and excellent length. Expressive, energetic Beaune wine with excellent potential. -- Stephen Tanze
Pale ruby. Pale rim. Very open and a bit lacking in focus. Extraordinarily fruity on the palate. Pretty but difficult to see any use racing over this. Slightly bitter cough-sweet flavour on the finish.
Issue: May 31, 2008. A full, fleshy style, featuring red and black cherry notes, with a vibrant structure. Ripe and ample, it's elements should fold together nicely in three to four years. Nice lingering finish. Best from 2012 through 2022. 200 cases imported. ?BS.
Vinification notes
Fermentation takes place in open vats for three to four weeks, after which the wine is aged in barrels for 18 months before being bottled. This wine will easily age 12-15 years if kept in good cellaring conditions.
