Wine tasting notes

The bouquet displays beautiful elements of chalky, flint and minerally notes. The wine is juicy and opulent on palate entry and then a fine acidity arrives to provide a perfect foil to the inherent fruit “sweetness”.Despite being bone dry,the wine finishes with an appealing sweet/sour character, begging a second taste

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2017) - 83 pts

With a light and lifted nose, the 2017 Riesling smells familiar with a waxy, floral character that wafts with the classic petrol note that characteristic of Riesling. Medium-bodied, the wine glides over the palate rather than popping with acid as Riesling is known to do. It doesn't have that kick I am looking for with Riesling to brighten and freshen up the palate. The wine ends with flavors of faint flowers, pineapple and peaches on the waxy finish. It's challenging to grow Riesling with a stern acid-driven backbone in South Africa, let alone Stellenbosch.
