Product Notes

Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz is a splendid Australian red wine that exudes rich varietal integrity. Originating from Eden Valley, renowned for its lush vineyards, it offers a harmonious blend of ripe blackberry, plum, and spicy pepper aromas. Its deep crimson hue accentuates its elegant palate where dark chocolate, cherries, and liquorice notes gracefully intertwine. Its fine-grained tannins enhance the wine's complexity and persistence, leaving a lasting imprint on your senses. Matured over fifteen months in French oak hogsheads, the legacy of this Shiraz is captured beautifully in every sip, making it the perfect companion for hearty meat dishes.

Tasting Notes

Deep crimson with violet hues. Fragrant, spicy aromas of black pepper, sage, bay leaf and anise are interwoven with vibrant Satsuma plum, blackberry and blueberry, and gentle tarragon and cedar notes. The palate is complex and textured with rich and concentrated flavours of mulberry, blackberry and Satsuma plum, layered with sage, black pepper and star anise. The finish is beautifully balanced, with long, velvety tannins and excellent depth.
