Product Notes

Salentein Single Vineyard Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc is a lusciously sweet wine hailing from Argentina's Uco Valley vineyards. This wine possesses a rich, golden hue and exhibits tantalising notes of honey, ripe peaches and fresh citruses. A perfectly balanced acidity counters its sweetness, resulting in a decidedly tantalising palate. Expect to experience a long, graceful finish. As a Late Harvest wine, the grapes are allowed to ripen extra long on the vine, leading to an intoxicatingly sweet, full-bodied character. This Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful indulgence, best paired with succulent desserts or rich cheese.

Tasting Notes

A naturally sweet wine, made from over-ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes, developed with botrytis. It is gold, bright, with intense and complex aromas of peach, quince and tangerine skin, mingled with subtle notes of anis and linden flowers. The mouth has notes of apricot, apple and honey and an excellent balance between sweetness and acidity.

About the Winery

Salentein

A sensory cornucopia awaits in the heart of Argentina at Salentein Winery, a distinguished destination for wine lovers. Nestled amidst the rugged foothills of the Andes Mountains, this renowned winery seamlessly blends tradition, innovation and artistry to create an unforgettable experience.

Founded in the late 1900s, the Salentein Winery exhibits sophistication and grandeur through its architecture and design. The classic aesthetic, featuring four awe-inspiring pyramid-shaped structures, resembles an enchanting relic of the past. Yet, the winery astounds with state-of-the-art facilities and pioneering viticulture techniques.

A distinguishing feature of Salentein is the diversity of its vineyards. Spread across three distinct microclimates, each vineyard is exquisitely managed to ensure the highest quality grapes. To take full advantage of their distinctive vineyards, the oenologists meticulously monitor the conditions and maintain diligent precision during harvest.

The winery's reputation is well-earned, it is known globally for producing some of the finest Argentinian Malbec, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. Each bottle communicates the dedication of the winemakers and the unique terroir of the Uco Valley. A bouquet of intense flavours and aromas are held within each bottle, promising an enchanting experience with every opened cork.

But Salentein is more than just wine. It's an experience. Surprise elements such as an art gallery and a performance hall create a multi-dimensional appeal. The Killka Art Gallery exhibits works from renowned Argentine and international artists, while the barrel-shaped concert hall is known for impressive performances.

Visitors can embark on guided tours, indulge in a variety of tasting sessions, dine at the exquisite on-site restaurant or partake in cooking classes that emphasise the pairing of food with wine. Thus, celebrating the full expression of Argentinian culture.

Once you've visited, it's clear to see how Salentein Winery has become an emblem of excellence in the world’s wine tapestry. It is much more than a destination, it's a fascinating journey into the world of vine and wine.
