Product Notes

Domaine de Montille Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves is a captivating French Burgundy wine that offers an exceptional taste journey. The wine showcases a vibrant ruby colour, exuding luscious aromas of ripe cherries, earthy undertones, and light smoky spices. Its texture on the palate is velvety, subtly accompanied by the gentle tartness of wild strawberries and enlivened by soft, well-integrated tannins. The intriguing mineral finish provides the perfect culmination to the tasting experience. Each bottle represents eloquent craftsmanship and the rich, traditional viticulture of Domaine de Montille, making it a highly collectable wine for any connoisseur.

Tasting Notes

The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru comes from iron-rich clayey soils and contains two-thirds whole cluster this year. It has a lovely bouquet of red berry fruit laced with slate and bay leaf aromas, very well defined and absorbing the 25% new oak easily. The palate is well balanced with a mineral-rich entry, a fine bead of acidity and touches of brown spice sprinkled over the red fruit. The stony, terse finish indicates that it could age for longer than many will grant it.
