About the Winery

Mas De Daumas Gassac

Mas De Daumas Gassac winery, nestled in the heart of France's stunning Languedoc region, has long been the source of remarkable wines. Established in 1971 by the Guibert family the estate now covers an impressive 50 hectares, providing an enviable terroir on which to cultivate their much sought-after grapes.

The property was initially bought by Véronique and Aimé Guibert to serve as their family’s summer residence. The area's unspoiled natural landscape didn’t initially hint at the oenological potential. However, being a bunch of visionaries, they recognised the pristine limestone soils, microclimate, and fertile riverbeds as ripe for producing world-class wines.

Aided by the renowned oenologist Émile Peynaud, the Guibert family set about crafting their first vintage and have since embarked on a journey of excellence that's spanned five decades. Today, their wines are internationally recognised and lauded for their quality. Mas De Daumas Gassac's signature red wine, crafted from a blend of over twenty different grape varietals, truly encapsulates the uniqueness of their location.

Even after 50 years, this prestigious winery continues to innovate whilst retaining the eco-friendly ethos tirelessly cultivated over the years. The philosophy of Mas De Daumas Gassac rests firmly on respect for the land, with organic viticulture and sustainable practices employed to preserve their blessed vineyards.

No visit to southern France is complete without embarking on a tour of this magnificent estate. In their finely preserved wine cellars, you can indulge in tastings, meet their passionate team, and even take part in vineyard picnics during summer.
