Product Notes

Kumeu River Estate Pinot Gris offers delightful refreshment, crafted in New Zealand's esteemed Kumeu region. This wine marries a crisp, aromatic palate featuring delicate notes of ripe pear, baked apple, and honeysuckle. Hints of zesty citrus and dewy spring blossom weave gracefully through the medium-bodied profile, underscored by a mineral-driven finish. This Pinot Gris boasts excellent balance, complexity, and charm. Perfect for food pairings or simply to savour alone, it's a testament to New Zealand’s viticulture prowess. Kumeu River Estate Pinot Gris - a wine of elegance, sophistication and overall brilliance.

Tasting Notes

The aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the floral perfume that we have come to expect from Pinot Gris. On the palate the wine is rich and complex with a lively texture on the palate. Pinot Gris is a variety that goes particularly well with food, including quite intensely flavoured dishes. It is also one of the few wine styles that can handle the spiciness of chilli, so together with the sweet succulence of prawns, a nicely chilled bottle of Kumeu River Pinot Gris makes up a spectacular combination.
