Product Notes

Baigorri Rioja Reserva is an exquisite Spanish wine crafted from hand-selected, old vine Tempranillo grapes matured in French oak barrels. It offers a powerful and complex nose, abundant with ripe red fruit, sweet spices, and hints of well-seasoned wood. Its harmonious palate is full-bodied and gratifyingly long-lasting, exhibiting subtle notes of leather, vanilla, and mineral undertones. A top choice to complement a sumptuous meal, this deep ruby red wine, with its silky-smooth tannins, showcases the finesse and tradition of world-renowned La Rioja region. Highly praised for its balance, elegance, and delectable finish, Baigorri Rioja Reserva is truly a treasure in every sense.

Tasting Notes

A wine with an intense black-cherry colour with deep robe. Predomination of aromas of dark fruit, ground coffee, spices and minerals. On the palate it is elegant, fresh, very well-balanced and persistent. Long and intense.

About the Winery

Baigorri

Baigorri Winery, located in Spain's prestigious Rioja Alavesa region, is a testament to the harmonious blend of nature, technology and wine craftsmanship. Founded in 2002 by Jesús Baigorri, this winery has carved a unique niche within the wine world.

The architectural superiority of Baigorri is hard to overlook; its impressive seven-storey glass construction, seated amidst the stunning vineyards, is a sight to be tied. The heart of the winery is several meters underground, designed meticulously to take advantage of gravity in the wine-making process. This process reduces damage to the grapes and ensures the wine attains maximum flavour complexity and smoothness, a characteristic trait of Baigorri wines.

Baigorri's vineyards, flourishing in calcareous clay soil, are a rich source of old vines, some of them even close to a century-old. Each vine is treated with utmost care, and the harvest is done manually, with a selective picking process that chooses only the finest grapes.

Known for its deep, powerful and highly aromatic wines, Baigorri specialises in Tempranillo, Grenache and Viura varietals. The winery has honed its wine production capacity to over half a million bottles a year, exporting to many countries across the globe.

However, Baigorri is not just a winery; it's an experience. With its delicious cuisine, designed to complement its wines, and its tours offering in-depth visits to the vineyard and barrel cellar, visitors are promised an unforgettable immersion into the world of wine.

And yet, despite its architectural marvel and technical prowess, Baigorri maintains a strong tie with the elemental simplicity of wine-making, respecting and valuing the raw materials to create something beyond the ordinary. It's a testament to the delicate balance of tradition and innovation. The pursuit of excellence at Baigorri winery, is unyielding:, it's a journey that continues with every bottle.
