Emanating from the prestigious vineyards of Rioja, Spain, Finca Valpiedra Cantos de Valpiedra is an exquisite wine of immense quality and character. With its luminous ruby hue, it portrays a medley of dark fruit and spicy flavours, fragrantly leading to a lingering aftertaste of vanilla, blackcurrant and cedar. Its refined structure is emboldened by tastefully integrated tannins and a charming acidity, promoting a well-rounded, robust body. Cantos de Valpiedra pairs excellently with hearty meats or mature cheeses, making it a favoured choice for gastronomes. Its harmony of depth, complexity and elegance truly encapsulates the splendour of Rioja wines.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Intense purple colour. Violet glints with abundant tear, colourful and dense. Nose: Highly aromatic with black fruit and ripe sloe notes. Very mineral that, together with the vanilla, spice and tobacco notes from the barrel, give a great character to this wine. The Tempranillo variety is very emphasized and well incorporated with the barrel. Palate: Oily, rich and intense with a sweetness right across the mouth, showing great finesse. Well-balanced acidity with the alcohol, with the typical “Valpiedra” freshness predominant. A long, cool and mineral finish, with a touch of fine woods.
