Product Notes

Vivanco Rioja Reserva wine hails from Spain's most prestigious wine region, Rioja. Aged gracefully for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, it boasts an exquisite profile of velvety red fruits, vanilla, and mellow spices. The smooth texture and balanced acidity make this wine unforgettable. Its aroma of ripe berries, with undernotes of cocoa and hints of tobacco, provide an expressive, elegant nose. The deep ruby hue is visually appealing. This medium-bodied wine, accompanied by a prolonged, savoury finish, exudes complexity and quality, making it an excellent choice for pairing with robust meat dishes.

Tasting Notes

This is an intense and rich wine with flavours or red and black berry fruit integrated vanilla, sweet spice and complex leather character. This is achived by ageing in oak barrels and in the bottle prior to release.

About the Winery

Vivanco

Located in the heart of Spain's renowned wine region, Rioja, the Vivanco winery stands as an epitome of the perfect blend between tradition and modernity. This family-owned winery, established over 100 years ago, has masterfully perfected the art of winemaking, whilst respecting the inherited knowledge and spirit of the Riojan wine culture.

The Vivanco estate sprawls over an impressive 440 hectares, where they cultivate various grape varietals, including Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo, and Garnacha, these grapes are then transformed into exquisite wines bearing the remarkable Vivanco label. Incorporating cutting-edge technology with time-honoured winemaking practices handed down through generations, each bottle reflects the distinctive flavours and characteristics of the varietals grown on their lands.

What truly sets Vivanco apart is their commitment to sustainable winemaking. Receptive to their surroundings and its preservation, they follow organic farming practices cultivating the land in tune with nature's rhythm. This eco-friendly approach is also mirrored in their contemporary winery, built underground to maintain a stable temperature all year round, serving as a perfect ageing place for the wines.

Aside from producing top-tier wines, Vivanco has also committed itself to promoting wine culture. To achieve this, they've established a Wine Museum of international acclaim, showcasing the history of wine across centuries. Spanning five exhibition halls over 4,000 square metres, it stands as one of the most comprehensive wine museums in the world, blending education and entertainment in a splendidly engaging manner.

Vivanco winery, by integrating tradition, innovation, sustainability and culture, offers not just an excellent selection of wines, but a comprehensive and unforgettable experience to its visitors. It is truly a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in the heart of Riojian wine culture. One could argue, that Vivanco is not just a winery, rather it's a celebration of wine itself.
