Product Notes

Bodegas Palacios Remondo Propiedad Viñas Viejas is a distinctive Spanish red wine originating from Rioja. Harvested from mature vineyards, this blend proves the profound depth and complexity that seasoned vines can offer. It exudes rich, bold flavours of ripe, juicy berries and subtle undertones of spices, creating an impressive balance of intensity and elegance. With its velvety texture and refined tannins, this wine leaves a long, lingering finish. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, which imbue it with notes of vanilla and toast, blending harmoniously with its intense fruit profile. An absolute delight for discerning palates.

Tasting Notes

Notes of meaty summer fruits. Strawberries, blackcurrants, nectarines and cherries. A fluid palate leading to a finish evoking scrubland origins.

About the Winery

Bodegas Palacios Remondo

Hidden within the picturesque beauty of northeastern Spain, in the heart of Rioja Baja, you will discover the charming vineyard of Bodegas Palacios Remondo. This exceptional wine producer has gained international renown for its first-class wine, encapsulating the essence of the land's rich heritage in every drop.

Established in 1945 by Don Jose Palacios Remondo, the winery has nobly been passed down through generations, each maintaining the family's passionate commitment to superior wine production. However, the truly transformative era for Bodegas Palacios Remondo began in 2000 when Alvaro Palacios took the helm. Drawing on his experience from years spent in Priorat, Alvaro instilled innovative practices encompassing biodynamic farming and a meticulous grape selection process that resulted in a broader spectrum of incredible releases from the winery.

Today, Bodegas Palacios Remondo encompasses 100 hectares of vineyards, growing predominantly Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes; However, small amounts of Graciano and Mazuelo are also tended. The winery's unique location at the foot of the Yerga Mountain, mixed with a Mediterranean-Continental climate, provides optimal conditions to cultivate these varietals.

Among the vineyard's arresting portfolio, the most acclaimed wine is 'Propiedad.' This engaging red wine, produced from a delicate blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo, impresses the most discerning connoisseurs with its daring yet balanced flavours.

The folks at Bodegas Palacios Remondo firmly believe that great wine stems from great land. Therefore they continuously walk hand in hand with the rhythm of nature, implementing sustainable viticulture, which in essence, maintains the purity of their grapes and ensures every bottle is an echo of its origin.

With its intrinsic philosophy of respecting nature, tempered with a flair for innovation, Bodegas Palacios Remondo has set itself apart from other wine producers. A visit here offers more than just wine tasting, it's a journey of discovery- an opportunity to explore the spirit of the Spanish land through its most cherished and celebrated nectar; wine.
