Product Notes

Domaine Leon Barral Faugeres 'Jadis' is a quintessentially French red wine from the Languedoc region. It boasts a complex bouquet with intense notes of black fruit, thyme, and spices. Impeccably balanced, its generous palate brings a fusion of black cherry jam flavours, superbly supported by silky tannins and a refreshing acidity. 'Jadis' deceives its potency with an elegantly full-bodied style, delighting in a solid structure and lingering finish. It's a compelling wine of great depth and authenticity, emblematic of the rugged beauty of the Faugeres soil. A magisterial tipple for any discerning oenophile.

Tasting Notes

The colour of the Cuvee Jadis delights being blackish-purple, almost opaque. Ripe plum and black-cherry scents dominate a fruit-forward aroma, but there’s plenty of earth to please the truffle-hounds. Leather and pleasant barnyard notes add complexity. Full-bodied, juicy and tart flavours, fresh black fruit and a hint of dark chocolate, nicely structured by crisp acidity; smooth tannins emerge as a cleansing astringency in a long finish, with a distinct whiff of fresh herbs and earthy grace notes that mirror the nose.
