Product Notes

Dow's Quinta do Bomfim Vintage Port is a delightful Portuguese wine, steeped in tradition. Produced in the esteemed Upper Douro Valley, it possesses a striking balance of rich textures and flavours. This vintage port boasts a dense ruby colour, bold ripe fruit aroma and a palate filled with black cherries and dark chocolate undertones. The mouth-feel is quite indulgent, with the velvety soft tannins giving a luxurious aspect to the wine. A lingering finish of intense ripe fruit and spice notes makes it a harmonious choice for savouring alone or alongside dark chocolate desserts. An exquisite example of Dow's wine expertise.

Tasting Notes

Spice and pepper balance the black chocolate flavours and these are very evident in all Bomfim Ports. Abundant fruit flavours with hints of maple, raisins and ripe blackberries give elegance and poise to this wine. The very high percentage of Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional planted on the estate result in the powerful aromas of mint and violets on the finest Ports from Bomfim.
