Tasting Note

Bright medium-deep crimson with a purple hue. On the palate an iron fist wrapped in a velvet glove, the 2020 is deep and brooding, from an incredibly low yielding vintage, this wine demands time in the cellar before opening. Lifted plum, redcurrant, some earth and a hint of charry oak in the background.

Product Notes

A time-honoured masterpiece from Barossa Valley, Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz is an exceptional red wine made from ancient vines over a century old. This full-bodied vintage boasts a bold and intense flavour profile, harmoniously marrying dark fruit notes with hints of chocolate and spice. A sensuous aroma of plum, cherry, and oak precedes a complex, lingering finish. The stellar balance and structure of this robust Shiraz make it a perfect accompaniment to hearty, meaty dishes. Aged for years, each bottle of Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz epitomises opulence and grace, leaving a lasting impression on every discerning palate.
