Tasting Note

Fruits are showcased more on the palate than nose - dark cherry, ripe boysenberry and blackberry immediately noted. A dried apple skin character mediates at this stage between fruited and non-fruited flavours (coffee grind and soy). Quite an attaque – an appealing bite/grip rather than the familial Bin 150 lushness and viscosity. Perhaps partially explained by raspy tannins – graphite, and bright acidity.

Product Notes

Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is a vivid representation of sublime Australian viticulture. This impressionable South Australian wine, sourced from Marananga's Barossa Valley, carries a delightful intensity and complexity. Its rich, vigorous flavour profile of dark fruits, chocolate, and spices is well-balanced by robust tannins and a long, velvety finish. Aged in French and American oak, Bin 150 beautifully encapsulates the Panache of New World wines. Its sophistication and power make it an excellent choice for special occasions and gourmet food pairings. Enjoy a glass of this perfectly-crafted Penfolds creation and taste a piece of wine history.
