Product Notes

Rust en Vrede Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine from South Africa's celebrated Stellenbosch region. This vintage captures attention with its rich vermilion hue. Its aromatic profile unveils dark chocolate, blackcurrant, and roasted coffee notes. With each sip, one can taste ripe fruits interlaced with oaky, earthy undertones, making it exquisitely smooth. Tannins are well-structured, adding depth to the flavourful journey. The finish is warm and long. This premium wine pairs splendidly with hearty meats and mature cheeses. Known for its extravagant richness, this wine showcases South African winemaking at its finest.

Tasting Notes

This Cabernet Sauvignon shows off 2017’s deep, almost opaque colour. Aromas of rich, concentrated cassis, black cherry and blue berry evolve into more floral and spicy notes of jasmine, juniper and cinnamon. Fine, grippy tannins combine with a vibrant acidity to create a taut, structured wine. Intense black fruit follows though from the nose with flavours of dark chocolate, all spice and a savoury note of tobacco leaf adding to the complexity. The finish is crisp and dry with notes of sweet baking spices.
