Product Notes

Giovanni Rosso Donna Margherita Barbera d'Alba is a truly remarkable Italian wine. Its brilliant ruby red hue is delightfully inviting. The bouquet presents a lovely mix of ripe red fruits, plum, and cherry, with subtle undertones of spices and violets. On one's palate, it delights with its energising acidity and velvety texture. Matured in large oak barrels, the wine has a graceful hint of smoky wood. Its finish is pleasantly long, with hints of berries lingering. This medium-bodied, luxuriously fruity Barbera d'Alba is a stunning testament to Giovanni Rosso's knack for crafting high-quality and incredibly engaging wines.

Tasting Notes

A bright nose full of plums, raspberries and blueberrie with some delicate wisteria hints. This is an very easy drinking Barbera with a vibrant acidity and fleshy and juicy fruit. A great all rounder.

About the Winery

Giovanni Rosso

Situated in the renowned Barolo region in Northern Italy, Giovanni Rosso winery holds not just a gem of a location, but also the hearts and souls of those who taste its wines. Born from a passion for the beautiful Nebbiolo grape variety, this family-run winery has been cultivating their vineyards for over 130 years.

The winery is currently managed by third-generation winemaker Davide Rosso. With a stringent adherence to traditional winemaking practices, his handcrafted wines typify the Rosso family's dedication and love for their homeland, the world acclaim each bottle garners is certainly well-deserved.

Stretching over Serralunga d'Alba and La Morra in Piedmont, the winery's vineyards burst with uniqueness and character; characteristics that are smoothly translated into their wines.
