Product Notes

Grgich Hills Estate Fumé Blanc - Dry Sauvignon Blanc wine is an elegant Californian produce possessing an expressive nature. It presents a vibrant aroma of freshly squeezed lime, honey and delicate undertones of vanilla, all superbly harmonising with a subtle smoky weave. On the palate, its crispness is balanced impeccably with a creamy richness, alongside lingering flavours of zesty citrus and ripe stone fruit. Its finish is long-lasting, with a core of minerality. This fascinating blend showcases both the vibrant freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc and the complex depth imparted by oak barrel ageing. A sip of this fine wine is a delightful experience.

Tasting Notes

This wine opens with notes of green apple, lemongrass and snap peas with undertones of flint and minerals. It exhibits a mouth-watering freshness and structure on the attack, a great complexity on the mid-palate with fresh and tangy fruit characteristics and a linear and unwavering acid structure building the frame. It is a wine of enormous precision and minerality with a finish that evokes the crystal-clear serenity of an Alpine mountain stream on a cool summer morning.

Grgich Hills Estate

Nestled in the verdant heart of California's famous Napa Valley, sits the exquisite Grgich Hills Estate winery. Established by the acclaimed wine connoisseur Miljenko "Mike" Grgich alongside Austin Hills in 1977, the estate's reputation has grown symbiotically with the area's wide-ranging accolades in wine production.
