Product Notes

Babich Marlborough Pinot Noir wine, from acclaimed New Zealand winery Babich, delivers an enticing aroma of ripe berries and warm spices. This ruby-hued wine speaks volumes of New Zealand’s rich terroir, with a balanced blend of beautifully pronounced red fruit flavours, chiselled tannins, and placid acidity. It is delicately layered with notes of cherries, raspberries, and light hints of sweetly toasted oak, rounding off to a lingering finish. Offering plenty of depth and complexity, it pairs harmoniously with roasted meats. Babich Marlborough Pinot Noir exemplifies true artistry in winemaking, making it a classic choice for connoisseurs.

About the Winery

Babich

Established in 1916, Babich Wines is New Zealand's most experienced family-owned winery. Nestled in the picturesque Henderson Valley in Auckland, Babich is renowned for producing a wide array of exceptional and award-winning wines that captivate the palates of experts and enthusiasts alike.

The winery’s founder, Josip Babich, was a trailblazer in New Zealand wine production. Immigrating to New Zealand at the tender age of 14, he planted his first vines in 1912. A few years later, he transformed his humble beginnings into the global success story that is Babich Wines. Today, his grandsons Peter and Joe Babich continue to uphold his vision of creating superior wines through sustainable farming and meticulous attention to detail.

Over more than a century, Babich has branched out across some of New Zealand's prime vineyard sites. Today wines are sourced from their estate-owned vineyards in Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Auckland. The diverse locations of the vineyards allow the winery to produce a variety of wine styles, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

Babich's impressive portfolio reflects the winery’s incessant dedication to superior craftsmanship and sustainability. From the vineyard to the winery, every step of the process is managed with the utmost attention and care. This dedication is reflected in every bottle.

Immediately after arrival at the winery, the grapes are meticulously processed to keep the juice in pristine condition. The fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the freshness and flavour profiles of the fruit.

Babich Wines is noted for its commitment to sustainability. Solar panels are used for heating, vine prunings are composted and returned to the vineyards. and, recycled water is used for irrigation.

As one of New Zealand's pioneering wineries, Babich continues to pave the way for excellence in viticulture and winemaking; a legacy that is enjoyed by wine lovers all around the world. Visit to Babich Winery is a treat for your senses and an unforgettable journey into a century-old wine-making legacy.
