Tasting Note

A serious style of Barbera, quite deep in colour and packed with black cherry, spice and warm earth notes. Dense on the palate with a touch of blueberry fruit, lovely gentle tannins and real energy. Could be enjoyed now, but will improve in bottle over the next 2-5 years.

Product Notes

Diego Conterno Ferrione Barbera d’Alba is a ravishing Italian wine gracing us with rich layers of complexity. This ruby-red gem originates from the Alba region in Piedmont, celebrated for its perfection in vine cultivation. Boasting an attractive perfume of ripe cherries, blackberries, leather and spice, it seduces the senses. Full-bodied on the palate, it reveals solid tannins and high acidity which marry harmoniously with the abundance of fruit, guaranteeing a balanced and persistent finish. Minor oak notes add an understated elegance. Perfect for indulgent dinner parties, Ferrione Barbera d’Alba assures a memorable, epicurean experience.
