About the Winery

Domaine Duroché

Nestled amidst the verdant vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Duroché remains one of the most hidden treasures of Burgundy's wine landscape. The lineage of grape working artisans only strengthens its reputation, tracing back to the early 1930s. Steeped in tradition and brimming with character, this quaint, family-run vineyard has always been an emblem of French wine brilliance.

The reins of this historic winery (located in the northeastern French region, known for her sumptuous Pinot Noirs) lay in the hands of impeccable winemaker, Pierre Duroché. Pierre's commitment to showcasing the authentic taste and distinct quality of his crafted wines is unwavering. Through his sheer dedication and passionate stewardship, he has risen Domaine Duroché to the echelons of the world's A-list vineyards.

His ethos is uncomplicated. By utilising meticulous hand-sorting methods, traditional wine-pressing techniques, and emphasising minimal intervention, Pierre ensures each bottle truly reflects its terroir. The resulting wines, be it their vin du table or the Grand Cru, display an elegant fusion of intensity blended and restraint; beautifully encapsulating the essence of Burgundy.

Now? Domaine Duroché hosts a comprehensive range of wines, originating from their varied vineyard plots spread across 8.25 hectares of fertile lands. It boasts several Premier Cru – such as Lavaut Saint Jacques, Estournelles Saint Jacques – and four spellbinding Grand Crus – including Charmes-Chambertin and Chambertin Clos de Bèze.

Visitors to the winery are invited to immerse themselves in the genuine warmth of French hospitality. They'll partake in tastings of exceptional wines paired perfectly with views over the sprawling vineyards that extend as far as the eye can - see, Indeed, a visit to Domaine Duroché offers a potpourri of scintillating vineyard views, palatable Pinots, and a charming gander into tradition and modernity’s marriage.
