Product Notes

Elio Altare Larigi Langhe Barbera is an exquisitely crafted Italian wine that exemplifies the finest of Langhe Barolo region. This ruby-hued beauty presents a rich bouquet of ripe cherry, blackberries, and subtle spice undertones. On the palate, it displays a harmonious balance between the full-bodied, concentrated fruit flavours and the stunning freshness, courtesy of well-integrated acidity. Silky tannins gracefully round off the lengthy finish. This Barbera, matured in French oak barrels, delivers a wine of remarkable elegance and complexity. A remarkable companion to hearty meat dishes and the perfect choice for a discerning wine collector's cellar.

Tasting Notes

Classy, easy to love Larigi. The oak is more in the background than usual, even at this young stage. Really sensual and very open. The palate is characterised by wonderful ripe, really juicy fruit with a sensual, tactile feel to it. A fine-ground touch of salt adds spark and interest to the raspberry and tayberry fruits. Beautifully composed.
