Product Notes

The Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Rouge is a masterful French wine, deeply hued with seductive cherry and blackberry bouquets. This enticing blend comes from Languedoc-Roussillon, with its grapes meticulously grown and harvested. It unravels complex notes of spice, vanilla, and chocolate, overlaying a ripe, fruity core. A solution of well-rounded tannins delivers a pleasing robustness, while its remarkably balanced acidity ensures a long-lasting and vibrant finish. The Cigalus Rouge is not merely a wine; it's an experience of sophistication and rustic elegance, a hearty companion to rich, meaty meals or an indulgent pleasure to sip on its own.

Tasting Notes

Intense ruby colour with a mahogany hue. The bouquet shouts concentrated, very ripe black fruit, grilled spice and toasted oak. The palate is lush and opulent with velvety tannins. The aromas of black fruit -blackberries, black cherries and plums - reappear with a complex empyreumatic web leading into mint. The finish is long with a perfect balance. Serve at 16°C, perfect with roasted red meat, poultry "en sauce" or ripened cheeses
