Product Notes

Inglenook Winery's Rubicon wine is a judicious balance of rich flavours and subtle undertones. Harvested from the heart of California's Napa Valley, this artisanal creation holds true to its Rutherford pedigrees. The Rubicon has dominant bursts of dark berries, bit of cherry, accented with notes of anise and spice. It's crafted with mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, imbued with Cabernet Franc and Merlot. On your palate, you can expect assertive yet refined tannins, beautifully balancing acidity. The elegant blend culminates into a long velvety finish. With its complex character and deep flavours, Rubicon promises an exquisite wine drinking experience. A veritable treat for discerning tastes.

Tasting Notes

Ideal harvest conditions endowed the 2016 Rubicon with the three elements associated with a truly great wine from the Rutherford appellation: complexity, balance, and elegance. The aromas are intense and focused with top notes of creamy, sweet vanilla, and black licorice wound around a core of exquisitely ripe black cherry and crème de cassis. This refinement extends directly to the palate, where the wine is both broad and deep with sensuous, silky tannins. Supremely balanced in terms of both opulence and complexity, ripe black fruits and an ultra-smooth texture provide an impressive crescendo to a very long finish.

Established in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum, the iconic Inglenook Winery is located within Napa Valley, California. Over its vast history, this renowned winery has amassed an formidable repute for producing world-class wines.

The estate’s focus remains fixed on finely crafted wines, capturing the essence of its rich terroir. Inglenook’s extensive vineyard spreads across an impressive 1,680 acres.
