Product Notes

Martín Códax Cuatro Pasos Black Mencia embodies a distinctive Spanish charm. A creation from the renowned Bierzo region, it exudes a rich, deep ruby hue with an intoxicating aroma amalgamating ripe red fruits, subtle spices, and a hint of oak. The palate reveals lush blackberry and plum notes with a trace of minerality, resultant from the vintage's unique slate and quartz soils. Silky tannins and a balanced acidity ensure a gratifying finish. Aged elegantly in French and American oak barrels, this profound Mencia characterises Spanish viniculture brilliancy and, when served, unquestionably becomes the highlight of gastronomic encounters.

Intese cherry red color. Medium-high intensity where prevails the bouquet varietal of black fruit (blackberry, prune, cassis). Fruit harmoniously assembled with toasted raisings, spices and smoked. Mineral background. Powerful and glyceric, with very well integrated friendly tannins. Balsamic aftertaste that invites to a second drink.
