Tasting Note

Intense, vivid translucent youthful purple-ruby appearance. The wine shows pronounced lifted perfume on the nose with red berry fruit, musk, wild mushrooms and hints of savoury richness and spice and a clean vibrant minerality. . On the palate there are very pure Pinot fruit flavours on entry with red cherry and musk flavours coupled with fresh acidity. The wine has layered complexity with great elegance and finesse. Very fine lacy, almost powdery tannin on the finish.

Product Notes

Hailing from South Africa's acclaimed Meerlust Estate, the Pinot Noir is a symphony of lush flavours and polished textures. This ruby red wine is delectably complex, graced with intricate layers of sun-ripened cherries, wild berries, and sultry spices. Swift undercurrents of earthy undertones enhance its richness, mirrored by a vibrant acidity that weaves into a long, elegant finish. The craftsmanship is evident in each sip, reflecting the vineyard's dedication to viticultural excellence. Aged in French oak barrels, the Meerlust Pinot Noir carries a subtle hint of smokiness alongside its fruit-driven personality, making it wonderfully satisfying to the discerning palate.
