Product Notes

Rustenberg Peter Barlow Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium South African wine of exceptional quality. Boasting a deep garnet colour, it captivates the senses with intense aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and minty undertones. On the palate, robust flavours of ripe dark fruit, mellowed by subtle oak, offer a perfect balance of tannins and acidity. This full-bodied wine exhibits complexity, depth, and a harmonious finish. Aged in French oak barrels, the wine adds layers of smoky spice nuances. The quintessential companion to red meat dishes, the Rustenberg Peter Barlow Cabernet Sauvignon is truly a masterpiece in a bottle.

Tasting Notes

The oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard on the estate is named the Peter Barlow block and consistently produces powerful, long-lived Cabernet Sauvignon that is given the best possible treatment in the cellar. Concentrated cassis, black cherries and some herbaceousness can be found on the nose and palate. Rustenberg recommend decanting Peter Barlow before drinking.
