Product Notes

Ventisquero Grey Pinot Noir is a Chilean red wine of extraordinary quality. It displays a beautiful, deep ruby hue and emits alluring, complex scents of ripe strawberries, cherries, and spices, with undercurrents of earthy truffles. On the palate, it presents a pleasing fusion of rich fruit flavours, balanced tannins and a gentle acidity, leading to a long and elegant finish. This medium-bodied wine from Ventisquero's Grey Glacier vineyards, located in the Maipo Valley, perfectly encapsulates terroir-specific characteristics. Best served at room temperature, it pairs brilliantly with delicately flavoured dishes such as grilled salmon or roast chicken.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby red with violet hues. Nose: The nose initially reveals aromas of black and red berries, such as murtillas, cranberries, black plums and raspberries. Palate: The palate has balanced acidity and flavours of juicy black fruit, along with smooth, well-rounded tannins sustained by the notes of soft French oak. Best served at between 14°C and 15°C. This wine pairs well duck, with oily fish, pasta, creamy soups, different lean meats and hard cheese.

About the Winery

Ventisquero

Ventisquero Winery, nestled in the heart of Chile's wine region, is a breathtaking marvel of viticulture engineering, blending traditional methods with innovative technology. Established in 1998 by Grupo AGRO, the winery is a compelling testament to a daring vision of creating premium-quality wines.

The vineyard spans a strikingly diverse range of terrains, with soils as varied as the climates. Blessed with a unique microclimate, the winery boasts vineyard plots in part of Chile's most prestigious wine regions including Maipo Valley, Colchagua and Leyda. Each region imparts unique characteristics to the grapes, ensuring a rich array of wine varietals.

From the construction of their modern production cellars to the meticulous cultivation of their vineyards, Ventisquero Winery holds a deep commitment to sustainable production practices. It's in fact, the first Chilean winery to achieve carbon footprint certification, further underlining the company's eco-friendly ethos.

Under the expert guidance of renowned chief winemaker Felipe Tosso, the Ventisquero team makes an array of award-winning wines. Whether it’s their aromatic Pinot Noirs, their robust Cabernet Sauvignons or their crisp Sauvignon Blancs, every bottle from Ventisquero Winery is a confirmation of their masterly craft in viniculture.

Equally as captivating, is the winery's timeworn architecture which forms the perfect backdrop for wine tastings carried out in their beautifully appointed visitor centre. There, guests have the opportunity immerse themselves in the winemaking process, tour the vineyards, and sample the winery’s outstanding selections.

Ventisquero Winery is more than just a winemaker's paradise, it is an epitome of wine expression in its purest, most honest form. From the first pop of the cork to the last sip, Ventisquero offers a wine experience that is nothing, short of extraordinary.
