Black Stallion Estate Winery
The Black Stallion Estate Winery opened its doors in 2007, but in 2010 it was bought by Indelicato Family Vineyards. They are one of the leading family-owned wine producers in the USA, whose story in the country began when Gaspare and Caterina Indelicato emigrated from Sicily to California in 1924. The business continues to be family run, now third generation. The estate is situated in the Oak Knoll District in the southern half of California's Napa Valley, and was once home to the Silverado Horsemans' Center, hence the name, which honours its equestrian history. Their fruit comes from premier vineyards throughout Napa's diverse wine-growing zones. A team of expert winemakers handcraft, and carefully blend their wines from small vineyard plots, fermenting and aging them separately and carefully blending just prior to bottling. Black Stallion produce both red and white wines but specialise in Cabernet Sauvignon made in a rich and refined classic Napa Valley style. These are premium multilayered wines and capture the diversity and complexity that Napa has to offer.
