Vinification Notes

Separated from Chateauneuf by the river, Lirac sits on the right bank of the Rhône. This is a blend of handpicked Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Viognier, grown on galets over sandy soil. Following pressing, the juice is cold-settled, then fermented at low temperatures for about 3 weeks, with about one third of the volume fermented and aged in French oak barrels, and the remaining wine staying in tank on fine lees. The wine is then blended in the May following the harvest.
