Product Notes

Chateau de Vaudieu Clos du Belvédére Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc wine embodies an elegant French charisma. This Rhône Valley offering is intensively aromatic, brimming with flavours of ripe stone fruits, citrus, honeyed nuances and a whisper of minerality. Its generous depth of flavour is beautifully balanced by lively acidity, creating a harmonious mouthfeel. There's a seductive richness to this wine, underscored by impressive complexity that unfolds delightfully through a lingering finish. Distinctly Mediterranean in character, it’s an irresistible example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc's ability to encapsulate the vibrant terroir from which it hails.

Tasting Notes

This wine is pale gold with green highlights. The nose is pure and precise with aromas of grapefruit, cashew nut and white nectarine. On the palate, discrete oak, vivid fruit and a refreshing salinity are framed by the wine’s revitalising acidity and rich texture. The finish is long and layered. The 2021 vintage has exceptional ageing potential.

About the Winery

Chateau de Vaudieu

Located at the heart of the southern Rhône Valley, the allure of the Chateau de Vaudieu winery is undeniable. Nestled amidst idyllic environs that are steeped in ancient history - & their rich tapestry is as intoxicating as their wines themselves,

Nearly three centuries ago, in 1767, the Chateau was built by Admiral Gérard de Vaudieu making it one of the oldest wine properties in the region. Today, it’s a prized congregation of 70 hectares of vineyards, perpetuating its tradition of exquisite winemaking under the passionate stewardship of the Bréchet family since 1985.

Chateau de Vaudieu crafts wines under two prestigious appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône. What multiplies the charm of their wines is the wide variety of soils, all contributing unique complexities to the resulting impressions on the palate. The estate diligently advocates traditional viticulture practises; they respect the biodiversity of their vineyards and follow the rhythms of nature. Recognising that great wines are made in the vineyard not in the cellars, the Chateau prioritises the health of their vines, soils and ecosystems above all.

In ample testament to their craft, Chateau de Vaudieu consistently secures high ratings from renowned wine critics and connoisseurs around the globe. Yet, despite its status the chateau remains convivial, warmly welcoming visitors to immerse in their breathtaking views,; stunning architecture, and of course, their irresistible wine tastings.

Entering Chateau de Vaudieu, one is quickly captivated by the embodiment of time-honoured craftsmanship meeting tradition, and the deep reverence for Mother Nature that permeates every corner. Every glass of wine indeed re-tells the chateau's cherished narrative, promising an experience that's not just intoxicating, but also deeply evocative.

Bask in the warm Provençal sun, drink in history and tradition, and raise a toast to the beautiful spectacle that is Chateau de Vaudieu every element of the journey promises to leave a lingering impression, in the mind and on the palate.
