Tasting Note

Oranges and nectarine, clementine and mirabelle, along with roasted hazelnuts and oats. A really beautiful nose. The palate is precise, fine and focussed, with an incredible concentration and length.

Product Notes

Harrow & Hope Blanc de Blancs is an exquisite British wine imbued with undeniable elegance. A single vineyard produce from Marlow in Buckinghamshire, it's cultivated using traditional methods. This 100% Chardonnay offers a novel expedition for the palate, marrying delicate hints of baked apple, toasted almonds with graced freshness. Its exquisite palate showcases decisive minerality accompanied by a nuanced lemon sherbet finish, emanating luxurious complexity. This bubbly, balanced wine has spent a minimum of four years on lees, aiding its sophisticated richness. Defined by its purity and bright acidity, Harrow & Hope Blanc de Blancs is a testament to the rising excellence of English viticulture.

About the Winery

Harrow & Hope is a boutique family-owned winery situated in the Chiltern Hills near Marlow in Buckinghamshire, England. Established in 2010 by Henry and Kaye Laithwaite, the estate was founded with the ambition of crafting premium traditional method sparkling wines that reflect the character of English terroir. Henry Laithwaite, son of well-known wine merchant Tony Laithwaite, gained international winemaking experience in Bordeaux and Australia before returning to England to launch the project. The vineyard occupies a south-facing site overlooking the Thames Valley, where chalk, clay and flint soils provide excellent conditions for classic sparkling varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
