Tasting Note

The wine has an elegant nose with fragrant aromas of white flowers, hazelnut and lemon sherbet. A taut mineral acidity drives the energetic palate and culminates in a long, layered finish.

Product Notes

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte is an exceptional white wine from the heart of France's prestigious Burgundy region. This wine is renowned for its distinct, robust characteristics, and deep complexity. Carrying a bouquet of crisp apples, ripe pears, and subtle citrus, it marries these with nuances of mineral and toasted oak undertones. Its palate is well-structured, with balanced acidity that complements its full-bodied richness. As it matures, flavours continue to evolve, making it a worthy selection for those passionate about the art of wine. A beautiful reflection of the vineyard's superior craftsmanship.

About the Winery

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard has been led by Caroline Lestimé, Jean-Noël’s daughter, since 1989. The 12.5-hectare estate has been certified organic since 2014 and is also farmed according to biodynamic principles. Most vineyards lie in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, with an additional site, Clos Bortier, in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, planted in 2015 just above Saint-Aubin.
