Situated in the heart of Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, Domaine Albert Morot is a family-run winery steeped in tradition. Passed down through generations since its founding in 1820, this renowned winery has retained its charm while evolving with modern viticultural techniques to create some of the most sought-after wines in the world.

The vineyards of Domaine Albert Morot span across approximately 8 hectares, primarily in Premier Cru terroirs such as Beaune "Les Teurons" and Savigny-lès-Beaune "La Bataillère". Cultivated using organic methods, the vineyard places significant emphasis on respecting the natural biodiversity of the land, employing practices such as ploughing and sexual confusion methods to combat pests naturally.

At the heart of their wine production is the Pinot Noir grape. This varietal’s deep ruby red to nearly purple wines, renowned for their velvety intensity and elegance, have marked the Morot family's position on the world stage. Complexity on the palate, notes of forest fruits, roasted, smoky flavours are the signature traits of the Morot's creations.

Over the years, the winery has been managed by assorted members of the Morot family, each imparting their unique touch to its storied legacy. Today, it is run by Geoffroy Choppin de Janvry, a nephew of Albert Morot, who took over in 1999. Bringing his youthful energy, Geoffroy has breathed new life into the winery without altering its traditional essence. He has effectively harnessed his expertise, he meticulously oversees the wine-making process from grape harvest to bottling. ensuring the Morot legacy continues to shine in every bottle produced.
