Product Notes

Borgo del Tiglio Collio Rosso is a bold, luxurious Italian red wine hailing from the acclaimed region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. With its intense ruby hue, it boasts a rich bouquet, infusing notes of ripe cherries, red fruits, delicate spices, and hints of vanilla. Maturation in oak barrels imparts a well-rounded structure and complex depth to the palate. The balance of multi-layered flavours, gentle acidity, and smooth tannins create an exquisite tasting experience. Perfect for pairing with roast meats or mature cheese, Borgo del Tiglio Collio Rosso is indeed an opulent treat for discerning wine lovers.

Tasting Notes

Collio Rosso is a Bordeaux blend, mainly Merlot to which small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon are added. The small production of this wine comes from the vines of Ronco di San Giorgio, in Brazzano. The soil comes from a grey-brown marl, from which clays suitable for Merlot are formed. The wine is full-bodied with a rich presence of soft tannins, and is salty and persistent .
