Product Notes

Leeu Passant Old Vines 'Lötter' Franschhoek Cinsault is a sophisticated wine hailing from the well-renowned South African vineyards. It exudes a delicate, clear ruby colour, revealing its refined, mature nature. On the nose, it offers a profusion of vivid red fruit notes, overlayed with hints of spice and well-balanced earthiness. On the palate, this wine possesses a remarkably smooth, medium-bodied taste with soft tannin, harmoniously blending subtlety and depth. Its long finish imbued with subliminal vanilla undernotes symbolises the impressive ageing potential of this Cinsault. A splendid complement to a substantial variety of dishes, especially rich meats.

Tasting Notes

The intensely aromatic nose is full of red berry, spice and heathland character. The intense palate shows succulent mixed berries, charcuterie and some savoury notes. The grippy tannins give structure and texture to the wine.
