Product Notes

San Polo Rubio is a superbly captivating Italian wine, known for its deep ruby red hue. Derived primarily from Sangiovese grapes and matured in oak barrels, it carries an aroma filled with complex notes of ripe cherries, vanilla and spices. On the palate, it's remarkably fresh, pleasantly acidic with soft, well-integrated tannins. Full-bodied, and displaying superb richness and intensity, it exhibits excellent structure. The aromatic complexity continues on the long finish, revealing a wine of extraordinary elegance and balance. This exceptional Tuscan red is an excellent companion to traditional Italian cuisine, particularly meat-based dishes.

Brilliant ruby red in colour, this wine opens with intense and persistent aromas of red cherries, violets and blackcurrants, followed by subtle spicy notes. This wine is well-structured and balanced with satisfying tannins and excellent length. The flavours of forest fruits and cherries make Rubio easy to drink, yet still intense and elegant.
