Tasting Note

Light to medium straw with golden highlights and a clear, bright appearance, this wine opens with inviting aromas of ripe stone fruits—peach and nectarine—layered with tropical notes of guava and lychee, and enriched by subtle nuances of shortbread, buttery croissant pastry, and roasted almonds and cashews. The palate is generous and structured, showcasing stone fruits alongside honeydew melon, kiwi, and a hint of popcorn, supported by balanced acidity and fine tannins. Layers of caramel from malolactic fermentation and gentle toasty oak add depth, creating a rich, harmonious, and textured wine.

Product Notes

Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Chardonnay displays depth and complexity, echoing the distinct credentials of its Margaret River provenance. A golden hue is coupled with an expressive bouquet of peach, citrus, and undertones of brioche, promising an enchanting taste. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with well-integrated oak, punctuated with excellent acidity. Balanced flavours of stone fruit, butterscotch, and minerality ensue a long, satisfying finish. This elegant and beautifully textured Chardonnay pairs perfectly with seafood or white meats and evolves gracefully within the cellar. A true testament to the character and quality of Australian whites.
