Domaine Dominique Piron Chenas Quartz is a quintessentially French, full-bodied red wine hailing from the Chenas region in Beaujolais. This exceptional vintage boasts a rich, dense texture and complex aroma profile of dark fruit and subtle spice, owing to the granite and quartz that enrich its terroir. The wine has a characteristic ruby colour with a deep scarlet hue, while flavours of blackcurrant, raspberry, and violet encapsulate the essence of the Gamay grape used in its making. Elegant tannins and a persistent finish contribute to its refined structure, making it an excellent pair with hearty meals.

Tasting Notes

The name of this cuvée suggests a pronounced minerality mingling aromas of lilac, peony or even peach. This very balanced wine has a rather floral attack on the palate and before revealing mature tannins. It is a very complex and elegant wine. The finish is tight with almost salinity.
