Product Notes

Jermann Afix Riesling is an elegantly crafted Italian wine that exudes sophistication. The nose is awash with intense fruity undertones - green apple and ripe peach, balanced by a subtle hint of flinty minerality. On the palate, it exhibits complex layers of rich citrus flavours entwined with refreshing acidity. It culminates in a long, satisfying finish, making it a delightful companion to seafood or light pasta dishes. Characterised by its crystal-clear yellow appearance and medium body, Jermann Afix Riesling is a versatile addition to any wine repertoire, promising a gratifying, sensory wine-drinking experience.

Tasting Notes

Afix Riesling from Riesling grapes, partly vinified on the skins. It has a brilliant straw-yellow colour with light greenish highlights; its aroma is very intense and persistent, lightly aromatic and characteristic of the grape variety: pleasantly fruity. Its taste is crisp, fresh, and very well balanced due to its soft texture and lively vigour.

About the Winery

Jermann

Jermann winery is a quintessentially Italian gem, nestled in the picturesque region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Established in 1881 by Antonio Jermann, it's heritage stretches back over a century. Since its inception, Jermann has been unswerving, dedicated to crafting wines that are a true reflection of their terroir.

At the heart of Jermann’s philosophy is their vigorous commitment to the environment. This commitment led them to meticulously utilise biodynamic and organic farming practices in their vineyards. The result is a wine that is perfectly balanced., expressing both the uniqueness of its place of origin and the passion of those who cultivate it.

Jermann is best known for their vintage Tunina, a sophisticated white blend lauded internationally, alongside their other high-quality wines such as the red blend Capo Martino and single-variety Vinnae Ribolla Gialla. Each wine boasts a rich and diverse taste palette that varies from floral to fruity, showcasing the magnificent complexity and versatility of the different varieties grown.

The winery itself is quite the architectural marvel. It's beautifully accented with contemporary structures that merge seamlessly with the traditional Friuli style.
