Product Notes

Ben Haines Flowers Flor Marsanne is an exquisite wine exuding elegance and finesse. Crafted in Victoria, Australia, its profile boasts an attractive blend of fruity and floral notes. It's distinguished by layers of honeyed stone fruits, quince, and subtle white flowers. The wine's partial oak ageing lends a complex, creamy texture complementing its fresh, natural acidity. A slight hint of almond on the finish adds an unexpected twist to the symphony of flavours. The Flowers Flor Marsanne is a testament to Ben Haines' masterful winemaking, creating a captivating bottle that pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes.

Tasting Notes

Medium-bodied, naturally fermented, Flor-aged then oxidatively aged on ullage for 10 years. A project long in the making, long in patience. Marsanne raised under flor, oxidised. An anthem to vin jaune but wholly its own thing. It gets to 16% without fortification (it started in barrel in 2011 at 12%!) Curious and wonderful thing. I’m so grateful for things like this happening in Australia.

About the Winery

Ben Haines

Established in the beautiful landscapes of Victoria, Australia, Ben Haines winery embodies the passion and vision of its creator and namesake, Ben Haines.

Born and brought up in the tranquil rural areas of the UK, Ben developed a strong fascination for the processes of nature and the allure of manual labour.
