Tasting Note

The wine has a pale yellow colour, with bright greenish tints. The nose is intense and delicate with hints of apple. The palate is dry and mineral with pleasant acidity and salinity, persistent and harmonious.

Product Notes

Crafted on Italy's idyllic island, Sicily, Benanti Etna Bianco is a fine white wine originating from the slopes of the iconic Mount Etna. It emanates a sophisticated blend of unique minerality and fresh citrus, reflecting the volcanic soil of its origin. It reveals an intense straw-yellow hue with bright green highlights, offering pleasant and surprising scents of yellow peach, jasmine, mint, and oyster shell. Possessing rich acidity and a rounded, velvety structure, it indulges your palate with a memorable persistent finish. A divine sip transcending millennia of volcanic earth, it pairs perfectly with seafood and creamy pasta dishes.

About the Winery

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
