Bodegas Epifanio Rivera

Founded in 2004 by Epifanio Rivera-Aparicio and now run alongside his three sons, this family estate farms 20 hectares of exceptional old vineyards spread across some of the finest sites around Pesquera de Duero. Many of the vines are over 80 years old, producing tiny yields of intensely concentrated Tempranillo fruit.

Despite its relatively recent beginnings, the winery has quickly earned international acclaim, helped by strong reviews from the American wine press. The Tinto spends 10 months in mainly new French oak, offering layers of black cherry and liquorice framed by polished tannins.

The more powerful ‘Tradición Familia’ is matured for 16 months in barrel, delivering greater depth and structure, with rich notes of eucalyptus, spice and dark fruit.
