Product Notes

Cain Vineyard & Winery Five wine is a sophisticated blend originating from Napa Valley, California. Applying a traditional Bordeaux approach, it elegantly combines five varietals — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, contributing to its multi-layered complexity. It exudes rich, dark fruit aromas with intricate notes of oak, vanilla, and spice. On the palate, it boasts a delightful balance of ripe tannins and acidity, leading to a persistent, layered finish. Aged magnificently in French oak barrels, this vintage is a testament to the exquisite art of winemaking. A true collectors' wine, perfect for any wine connoisseur.

Tasting Notes

With air notes of gently spiced vanilla pod, cassis, sweet tobacco and bay leaf emerge. As more air gets to the wine the aromas seem to freshen and focus, with redcurrant and bright black berries to the fore. On the palate the immediate impression is one of finesse and fine boned structure. A true mineral element underpins the still young flavours of briar, wild strawberry and cassis. There is more intensity and complexity here than the Concept, but also more deftness and finesse. Long, lithe and supple. A wine that calls you back time and again. Delicious!
