About the Winery

Château Haut-Bailly

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux's famed Graves wine region in France, Château Haut-Bailly is a venerable winery steeped in history, excellence, and charm. Renowned for its production of exceptional red wine, it offers discriminating oenophiles fine vintage blends that conquer the palate with their intricate mix of flavours and impressive finesse,

A quintessential French vineyard, Château Haut-Bailly blankets a sprawling, wondrous landscape of 30 hectares, proffering breath-taking views of the Bordeaux countryside. Remarkably, the vineyard is comprised of a single block, which is rather unusual for the region. Such continuity has allowed for a level of consistent quality in the production of grapes that is extraordinary to say the least. Vertically trained and manually harvested, the vineyard focuses on red grape varieties, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot,

The Château itself is steeped in history dating back to the 14th century. While it has seen numerous owners over the years, each has brought their distinct touch, while honouring its rich tradition. Today, the Château is under the stewardship of the Wilmers family, with Véronique Sanders, the fourth generation granddaughter of a previous proprietor at the helm, as its President.

Inside, the Château mirrors its exterior’s grandeur. Visitors are invited to participate in tasting sessions, explore the cellars and winemaking facilities, or partake in enlightening tours of the vineyard or winery. The winery produces about 150,000 bottles a year, each bottle a testament to its commitment to creating wines that are a symphony of taste sensations.

In conclusion, Château Haut-Bailly isn't just another winery; it is a living testament to the enduring allure and prestige of French winemaking it offers a gastronomic journey of discovery that is as entrancing as the wine itself.
