Tasting Note

Château Latour à Pomerol 2019 opens with a seductive, muscular bouquet of dark cherry, wild blackberry, violets, and earthy tobacco. On the palate, this full-bodied Merlot delivers intense dark fruit concentration framed by a tightly wound core of ultra-fine, powdery tannins. The finish is remarkably long, fresh, and savoury, leaving distinct, lingering impressions of black truffle, dark chocolate, and a touch of mint.

Product Notes

Château Latour à Pomerol is an influential Pomerol wine hailing from the world-renown wine region of Bordeaux, France. This opulent red wine is appreciated for its robust and full-bodied notes of cherry, truffle and plum. Matured in French oak barrels, it offers a harmonious balance of complex flavours and velvety tannins, resulting in a luxurious, lengthy finish. Renowned for its ageing potential, this graceful and intensely aromatic wine only deepens and enriches over time. Reflecting the esoteric qualities of its terroir, Château Latour à Pomerol is truly indicative of the artistry and tradition of French winemaking.

About the Winery

Chateau Latour a Pomerol

Latour à Pomerol, which draws its name from the tower that adorns this charming château, was acquired by Mme Loubat, who also owned Château Petrus, in 1917. Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix has farmed the vineyard from 1962 to 2023, before acquiring full ownership in 2024.
