About the Winery

Known for its profoundly rich history, it is one of the oldest wine estates in France to exist for over seven centuries. The vineyard originated in the 13th century when it was gifted to Bertrand de Goth. On becoming Pope Clement V in 1306, he renamed the estate to honour his Papacy, hence “Pape Clément”.
